I downloaded this because I am always looking for good Bible software. This looked like it has massive potential. And it still does, however there are some glaring omissions feature wise:
1) There is no bookmarking feature. I confirmed that with a customer service rep. Whenever you leave the app you have to remember you last place. It will take you back to Genesis.
2) There is no highlighting. Highlighting is pretty essential for me. I don’t always have a not to write re: a verse but I do like to highlight things that I consider important.
Also, while the initial offering is free and you do get A LOT of books with the app,if you want to purchase other bibles and books, you are looking at approximately $30 per book. You can also purchase “bundles” or “libraries” for $149 (starting). It’s pricey and the product seems very much geared on a scholarly level. That’s not bad, it just very advanced.
It seems like you can get most Christian texts off of the website and a multitude of translations. It’s really intriguing. It just is missing some of the most basic features you can find from other Ipad Bible apps. I am going to keep it on my Ipad and hope for an update.
